by: Nib ProbsSo apparently I joined an "irrelevant" Fraternity. I had gotten a bid from an "upper middle tier" Frat in the fall but I chose this current chapter as I am a legacy and it made my dad proud. However, I joined a Fraternity for the social experience and I'm not getting that here. I have a good amount of time left in college and I want to enjoy the experience to the best that I can so I'm not sure if I should stick around or try disaffiliating and going underground. Any advice would be much appreciated. Thanks homies.

Stick with it and do your best to make your chapter better. Don't listen to this site, a lot of the "irrelevant" fraternities still have mixers and guys in them still get good looking girls, have a good time with their brothers and have a good college experience. Make the best of the bed you've made is the best advice I can give you

What fraternity are you in now and where did you get a bid? and yeah I agree with "Comon Man"; It's awesome that you made your dad proud by joining his fraternity, and you should try to build your chapter up in as many ways as you can, i.e. improve sorority relations, rush dope kids, haze pretty hard, etc. give it a year and if nothing's improved, then maybe consider disaffiliating and underground-ing somewhere else
