informal rush as a sophomore
by: soph transferi am transferring to und this fall and i will be a sophomore. i want to rush a sorority but i don't want to win until formal recruitment in the spring. how easy is it to get a bid from doing informal recruitment in the fall? do lots of sororities offer bids in the fall? also i won't know anyone so i won't have any connections. do you think it will be possible for me to get into a sorority during the fall as a soph transfer?

But generally MOST sororities do Not have a fall informal rush. This will limit your choices. Sororities that have informal fall rush usually are having trouble with their number of members and tend to have trouble attracting rushees. EXCEPT for TriDelt, If they have an informal fall rush, it's because "they are losing a lot of seniors or members due to attrition".
