to a UMD Alum and former Panhellenic sister Allyn Rose who won Miss DC last night and will compete in Miss America this year! What great PR for our school and greek system! And congrats to the members of Delta Gamma for having a sister with a great accomplishment!

Well "Uhh" as Mom with a daughter looking at UMD. I was hoping that there was more to a sorority than if I have "seen" the girls. When I was in a sorority it was more than just "hotness" it was how the girls treated others and themselves. So I'd like a little less shallow statements. Because as someone looking at the University of Maryland in general - this is turning me off.

First off lady, times have changed. I don't know whether your daughter is attending UMD or will attend UMD, but if Greek life is SO important to you, then perhaps Maryland might not be the place.
And if you're "turned off" by these "shallow statements", try looking at other school's ratings and comments...I can guarantee you that they aren't any better.
Lastly, if you're not Greek, you have no idea what you're talking about. We are more than just "looks". Take a look at the stats, the majority of famous people and successful entrepreneurs in this country are Greek...clearly, we've got the brains too. That being said, you basically need to be the whole package.
