few questions about how it's like here

I've heard that other schools further south of us have top frats that tend to bid exclusively from in-state private high schools, especially SEC like bama, and if you're an out-of-stater you basically have no chance. Is there anything of this nature or similar to it at UMD?

Awesome thanks, I've definitely noticed this too like rushing at sig nu or other tops everyone's just a lot friendlier than if I were to rush a top at SEC.
Just wanted people to weigh in, thank you!
