transferring to umd...opinions on sorority
by: transferSo, I'm a freshman and am considering transferring to UMD. I am already an initiated member of a sorority, which happens to be a lower tier (not top, not bottom, kind of in between) house at my school, but a top house at Maryland. Since I love being a part of Greek life, I can't really imagine not affiliating, but I'm wondering how hard it would be to make that transition, especially going from a lower to an upper tier. Obviously I know I"ll have to get to know the individual girls in that chapter, but in general, does anyone have experience with the transfer process?

Just embrace it! You'll be a sister and you'll learn to love your new chapter as much as your old as long as you let yourself fully embrace being a part of it. Don't overthink the top tier bottom tier stuff in this situation. Just be yourself and be confident and let your new sisters get to know and love the true you!
