transferring to umd...opinions on sorority

So, I'm a freshman and am considering transferring to UMD. I am already an initiated member of a sorority, which happens to be a lower tier (not top, not bottom, kind of in between) house at my school, but a top house at Maryland. Since I love being a part of Greek life, I can't really imagine not affiliating, but I'm wondering how hard it would be to make that transition, especially going from a lower to an upper tier. Obviously I know I"ll have to get to know the individual girls in that chapter, but in general, does anyone have experience with the transfer process?
