First of all...greek rank is greek rank. Who knows what actually happens on pref night? Only the girl and her piece of paper. BUT from my experience- you would usually pref same tier and not a top and a zeta or DG. That's a weird combo? Stuff happens in rush. Unusual choice between last 2. Sure. You should choose a house you feel comfortable in. Greek rank is just rank. Some people care rank - some don't. For me when I rushed - I suggest staying in a rank because comfort is key and no matter what house your in - girls are girls and the AXO right...dg, axo, sk, tridelt - your still dealing w girls and your core group. If you make a few besties - you'll feel supported. To expect 80 girls to support you would be great - realistic? Probably not. If your intimidated by 80 hot girls who are confident - tridelt and alpha phi is not for you "happiness" wise. Sisterhood is a tricky term when putting 80 girls or more together. You'll hear good and bad in all 16 houses. Greek rank is a rank thing. True..if your friends w a top tier frat you can party w them and be a mid or low tier.

From my hs - 1 tridelt, 1 axo, 1 dg, 1 aopi. Now the Tridelt and AOPi are close still - more similar. Both houses nice when I hung w them. I found the AXO not mean or nice - mid tier meaning not the coolest or the nerdiest... average normal girls. 1 was a cheerleader in hs just not a hot one. I found the tridelts the prettiest and nicest - confident and inclusive just like the girl was in hs. Dates a hot guy in hs and now. He is nice too - phi delt. The aopi - cool fun nice girl you want to hang with. The dogs were nice but nothing special. Some dogs seemed happy - some ehhh. I found the house a weird mix to be who n.vhonest.

Yes, now through pref night a lot of cuts will happen. Your in a similar group - kd, axid and AOPi are similar to me. Kd considered top but it's the 3.
I think see how it goes - if you want a considered top you'll choose KD if they pick you. If you end up preffing those 3 or 2 out of 3 - you'll be happy. 3 are all similar and strong. Popular picks. You'll see a lot of cuts now through pref as it gets real where girls are a fit for the sororities. If your lucky...you'll get to choose 2 out 3 or 4 that you want to go. Too soon to tell. Be prepared for cuts til pref night

Rant was the rant. Saying all dg needs is 5 to 10 more hot girls. Mid stays mid...accept or turn down bid. To say mid tier isnt about looks... some cute but it's not pretty girls. Pretty girls in tops do have good personalities. They have both. Mid is mid, top is top. Anyone reading Greek rank cares. I went through rush and you can tell what the houses are without greek rank. Let's calm down. This is meant to help not hurt!!! Let's not put down houses. Honestly girls... go w comfort and rank if rank works in your favor. If rank doesnt work in your favor - you want a sorority - see who likes you and find a fit and be happy. Happiness is a choice otherwise rants and podcasts. On the whole...maryland greek life happy... we do get along. I'm in a top but good friends in mids and tops...honestly if I like you and click - I like you! My friends are nice to my friends in other houses. Choose a house that you like and chooses you and if you choose to accept bid...rock it! Cause greek life fun and someone else may have wanted your spot. What

Let's chill. I'm not sure why there are 10 posts on dg? A girl made a comment and everyone went nuts. Greek Rank is ranks... I think the more sure of who they are rush right and end up right... 75%. Meaning if your a top tier you'll pref top tier, if your a cool pretty girl who maybe a more chill type you may end up 1 top and 1 lower top or mid and be cool, you may choose between AXO and axid... after rush is over - everyone hangs together. I find the girls who went through rush and are comfy in general w themselves - enjoy being in the sorority they got into and accepted the bid. The unhappy ones which is a small amount - thank goodness end up w rants and podcasts. That's within them. The greek system as a whole gets along. If your friends before, you'll be friends after. Unless your insecure. Some girls will always be caught up in ranks - most don't care. Choose where you get in and they choose you/you choose them. Axo does not have a stronger sisterhood than alpha phi or KD. This retention stuff is crap talk. Girls in a group and for most part - everyone gets along. But it's a sorority not your mom or family. Girls have their own stresses - talk to a counselor at school if your going through a rough time or your family. It's not a sororities job to "emotionally" carry anyone. It's a social group. Rush is stressful and if you get cut - it sucks!!! Part of life!

This is supposed to be a safe place to ask?s. Rush is stressful. No axo is not a different sisterhood than AOPi. Just spend time and decide if you pref between the 2 which you prefer. You may not know until pref night. DG is ranked mid tier...you dont need to say they need to be pickier - have a few hotties? What an insult to DG. The ranks tend to stay the ranks. Years in... if rank is your thing... choose by rank - but to be happy - choose where your happy. One of my best friends from dorms is in a top - she is happy and fits there. I fit in a mid tier and I'm happy. We are still friends and hang out. But we do mostly hang w our sororities. We are going abroad together. Rush is stressful - hang in girls.

.. some girls are in tops... sad they got cut from maybe a 1st ranked house in top versus getting a bid from a 3rd ranked top? That is some girls issues!! 50% of tops are the it girls of every tops A lost. Some girls get cut from every house or deem themselves too worthy for bottom ranked. Try to stay in your lane and be focused on the main goal - where are you organically naturally fitting in? If you go through this process - which no one deems fun - you'll find a happy fit. Tough to be bottom true anywhere... but from bottom mid to tops... you should be happy!!!

True to this post!! Enough bashing! Rush is stressful enough. I agree... not finding a fit sucks. Mids to tops... be happy! Saying dg is this or that? Is that gamma phi? Theta trying to bash Tridelt? KD being bashed like crazy! Axo sisterhood meaness??? We are rushing and trying to find a fit!! Please help the rushes and other rushes please help other rushes.
