What is COB and which sororities do it??????????????

COB stands for Continuos Open Bidding. It happens a lot, a bunch of chapters do it; it’s more low key and informal.

If you drop recruitment in the middle, be in contact with your friends who didn't drop. They'll be the ones vouching for you if you want a COB. That's if a sorority doesn't reach out to you with 2-3 weeks after bid day and you've decided you don't want to wait until next year.

Also small private rushes because some girls drop - they dont like it, can't afford it financially or fail out of school or get dropped due to grades. You need to keep up a certain gpa to stay in a house. BUT dont try to get into a sorority this way - many tears of girls who went through small rush and didnt get a bid.

My house does NOT do this. We had 1 small rush in my 3 years and took 5 new pledges out of 30 we invited - all friends of girls in the houses. Very select rush group. We had 5 spots. A lot of tears when we only chose 5. It's rare.

Yeah this is theta saying this they did this exact thing a few years back but it’s common for SK DG Deeph ADPI Gphi to do COB depending on year

SK and ADPI usually advertise events most years while other sororities kinda do COB more slyly (friends of friends, ppl dropped round 2/3)
