people think top tier means something

by: sick of it

I joined greek life to make friends and happened to join a "top tier sorority" I have had so many people ask me what it's like, and if I'm at a lower tier frat they'll ask why i'm there if I could be somewhere "better." Like what, I am so tired of the social divide between srats and frats. I joined my sorority because I genuinely liked the people I met there during rush. If you're in a lower tier and asking me what it's like to be a part of this group it really isn't appreciated- it does not make me special. We all joined our groups because we connected with the members we talked to. I love my sorority but we are more than our reputation.

Def written by someone in a mid/bottom sorority pretending it doesn’t matter because of their own insecurities, but this is still very true. Just go where you feel comfortable. I just know no one in a top org would say this but the message is still true.

this is so false. and kind of proves my point. why would no one in a top tier sorority say this? what makes someone in a top tier different.
