my take on ranks and umd greek life

yes ik no one on here wants to see a post like this. but are you telling me y'all are literal adults (mostly guys) arguing anonymously about who has more social clout???
like i just got sm secondhand embarrassment reading some of these posts and comments...do you realize none of this will matter after you finish undergrad and have like a life and stuff
if you're a pnm or a rush seeing this site for the first time literally join a house that makes you happy. it's your college life you only get one. go where you can see yourself making good friends and good memories
if you're already in a house and you're on here i guess you care about clout so wasting my breath. but i hope you realize life after college is not a popularity contest like the greek life bubble. go hang out with your friends and live your lives people. if you spend all your time caring about ranks you'll just be left wondering where it all went after you graduate :(

Hiii yes greekrank sucks try not to cringe too hard lol. Thing is most people at umd see greek life exactly how you do and never even go on here. Love that you tried but this site will never change because it puts all the toxic people from every org in one place. Best to just let it be they'll grow up at some point

The reality is...if your pretty girl w a personality you'll get into a top house. I don't think they heavily worry about it. They sail through rush.
I dont think those girls care after college - they move forward.
Guys same.
The ones who make such a deal are bored, drunk or not in the house they want to be in... try and drag down houses.

yesss i figured bc no one i’m close with really cares it just shocked me. like i didn’t even know this side of our greek life existed i wish i never got bored and looked at it lol
