dating between frats and srats

why are people telling me it's weird to date outside of frat and srat tiers. like wtf who cares, is it a social status thing? do any of you know people that are date someone in a different tier?

Literally I know several girls in tridelt that have boyfriends in phi psi, zbt and even sig ep. I haven't really heard of any top tier dudes dating outside their tiers, which really speaks to their egos...but really nobody cares at all and I don't think I've ever heard of that being a problem.
