Sororities SHALLOW AF with pnm selections
by: pnm dropoutI heard all the advice given to PNM's to look BEYOND the supposed "ranks" and to instead make selections based on genuine connections because it IS about sisterhood and potential friendships. But after looking my best and having what I thought were GREAT conversations, I can only think I have been cut because I don't have as many instagram followers and likes as some PNM's that are being invited back. So what is being preached to the PNM's by the RG's is clearly not being preached to the sororities when ranking the PNM's. Just disappointing to go through this and feel like it was all based on something so shallow. As we know....people are way more authentic if they are NOT obsessed with followers and likes. Sororities just haven't gotten the memo. Go deeper sisters.

It’s impossible with this zoom to really get a feel so this year is going to just be a crapshoot. Also if there’s girls already in the house that is jealous of another girl they will make sure she does not get in it’s sad and pathetic. I honestly feel that Theta is on her way to top status. What I always say is if you ended up on the street completely naked what house would grab you and protect you right away? Don’t look for what’s popular look for Like my girls you can see being your BFF for the rest of your life

I just think this whole zoom thing is a disaster. You can’t really get a full feel of a person on zoom. They are letting one or two girls decide for the entire house, which is not OK. What if your amazing for the house but you just happen not the vibe with one or two of those girls interviewIng you? then the house loses an amazing potential person. Very unfortunate. They are going to all end up with a cluster fuq of houses. Just try again next year when it will be normal. A lot of my friends have already dropped out because they are not able to get a feel and the people on the zoom cannot feel them either

I mean its like that for in person recruitment too though other than the Zoom thing but like

In person recruitment is 100 times more superficial than zoom recruitment. At least with zoom you have to hold good conversations and it can't be based solely on looks. You sound like you have never recruited so you don't realize the intricacies on the other side/behind the scenes. Also,you will only talk to a few people in regular recruitment just like zoom for each round. No different in that aspect. Blaming it on zoom is just an excuse. There are always large cuts before sisterhood and pnms are always shocked becausethey thought they were "top tier" material. This is every year. Again nothing new.

I am not worried I was dropped by top tier. I knew that I would be. But it hurts more to be dropped by all the middle tiers when I though I had myself pretty much together!! Ouch

^^^ same as you like I expected to be dropped from top tier but I either had all top tier and then adpi no in between. That is why I dropped

I fully agree. These houses are cutting girls based off one or two people. Many of my friends that are rushing are dumbfounded because they don’t know what they did wrong. All there conversations are great and all the girls they talked to in many houses they connected with but then they ended up getting dropped by all but two houses they didn’t connect with. So they are dropping out of obligation because why do they only get houses that they didn’t connect with?? Only because those houses can’t meet quota.
