Ladies rushing!!! This is super helpful!!

Ladies!!! Please do not put that you are a legacy in a sorority!! (especially if you are not a freshman). I'm in a so-called top tier sorority and the amount of girls that I LOVED during rush I had to drop because they are legacies elsewhere. Obviously you don't have to do this but if you want to go in with an open mind, do not put anything down that you're a legacy and only speak about it when ur rushing that house. Especially sophomores. It's hard enough rushing as a sophomore because we mostly look at freshman. Hope this helps!

I second this! If you're a legacy, you can just mention it to the girl you're talking to at that specific house. They will be able to note it in the system and you don't have to tell any other houses that you're a legacy. We've had a few girls who didn't even realize they were legacies until midway through recruitment because they started talking to their family about greek life.

I third this!!!! I put down that I was a legacy and all the sororities I wasn’t the legacy at dropped me even though I thought I had great conversations with them and on top of all that the government sent me to a third-world Jungle country in the midst of a Civil War to fight some talking trees. So definitely don’t put down that you’re a legacy unless you really hate the Viet Cong

None of this is true. Many sororities nationally just made the decision to stop giving preferential bidding to legacies. Putting it only makes the sorority take notice. Nothing more nothing less

Are you even in greeklife? This post happens everywhere. Most girls who put down that they are a legacy usually get a bid from that sorority. Most sororities look at that and think "why would they choose us over them?" and drop them. So no, you're wrong. I've seen this happen so many times.
