I heard that KKG is coming back to campus. That they will be building a new house. When is this going to happen?

Where would they build this house? This post just makes such little sense.

Open expansion has not been approved by the local NPC, so it is just a rumor. And when open expansion is approved, 3 NPC Organizations will be selected to present and only 1 will be invited to colonize. So KKG may or may not be the one invited.

I know Delta Zeta, Phi Mu and Tri Sigma has shown interest in establishing chapters at UMD within the pat few years.

Wow! Those are all great sororities. With a campus as large as U of M, we have plenty of room for another sorority. Wasn't Delta Zeta on campus before? What about Chi Omega?

Will there be new fraternities as well?

I do not hear anything about Chi Omega, however, they do have nearby chapters at GWU and American University. As for fraternities, Alpha Delta Phi is currently a new colony, Zeta Beta Tau (ZBT) will be re-colonizing in the Spring 2014 and Delta Tau Delta (DTD) and Sigma Alpha Mu (SAMMY) will most likely be re-colonizing within the next 2 years.

Great news! There is always room for more. Pika, I understand is off campus, but still partying underground. That's all they can do... they can't contribute to the greek community or participate in any events. Will they be asked backed? Do they initiate recruits?

PiKA is currently not recognizied by by the School, IFc and thier National Office. They maybe able to return, however, it will not be soon. I believe the earliest they can return is some time in 2017.

for most of you not aware, kkg used to be where theta is currently, and the kkg alumni actually still own theta's house, so if they are serious about coming back they can take it back............they dont need to build
