rushing sorority as a sophomore

by: Wondering

Can you rush as a sophomore and get a good house? I’m Transferring to UMD next year from BC, there isn’t greek life at BC so I’m scared that I won’t get a good house since I wasn’t able to rush freshman year

Being a sophomore doesn't decrease your chances if the sorority wants you. Also, not exactly sure what you mean by a "good" sorority but based on where you're transferring from, you should be thankful that sisters are willing to take you in and love you.

I'm confused at what a "good" house is. Sisterhood?

i know a girl that tranfered in as a sophmore and she still got into a top sorority but dont write off the lower tier ones cause cause they are less superficial

My recommendation is to do Informal in the fall. It's way more relaxed and you are able to meet people bright away as a transfer. Formal Recruitment is very stressful and extremely superficial.
