which sororities participate in informal?

Couldn’t rush during formal so I want to do informal but am worried I won’t have as many options. Can anyone give a breakdown on informal? Do you have to know girls in the sorority?

nope they usually send out emails to pnms who registered but didnt get a bid

Depends on the sorority, usually adpi and DG do informal! Both have lots of events so if you’re interested in it I’d go check those out.

ADPi, sk, deeph, aoii, and dg all took fall new members in the fall in the last 4 years.

AOPi took new members in fall 2016 look up the grade report. That’s the last 4 years sooo

Check their Instagrams and Facebook pages. They usually post any events on there

Any sorority that didn’t hit quota or that is below campus total can do COR/COB right now! (Informal)

No but when don't you go to some of the informal recruitment happening right now? It's laid back and not stressful.

Not 100% sure but you should be able to email panhel to get schedules. Also check IG and FB.

They’re resetting total and finalizing pledge class numbers officially tonight/tomorrow so this under total will make their moves then.
Keep in mind y’all some informal recruitments are privately done. Just inviting girls they already know, old roommates, etc. so some groups may be under total but might not be having an open informal recruitment event.

Can you participate in informal if you received a bid but do not want to be in the sorority you received a bid from and have dropped from that sorority?

No you signed the something something binding agreement when you submit your pref list and you are bound to that bid for one calendar year.

What if you want to go through informal but you don't know anyone in panhel... like does that lower your chances or something?

Depends on the sorority. Some only invite girls they know (because the girls will either specificy drop rush to make sure they get in or are really good friends and just don’t go through rush bc they know informal can happen.)

Message PHA and they’ll let you know who is doing informal. If they’re openly recruiting they will be posting about it on social media!

It is NOT a bad idea to message the invidual sorority, especially if you know that they’re under quota/total! They want to see that members they get will want to be involved
