advice for a junior

by:

I'm a junior rushing again after dropping out last year... Will it look bad? I wasn't happy with my pref day choices so I waited to try it again. I don't know if any of them will drop me right off the bat because I'm graduating in a year and a half

Great question! I have the same one two, I am in the same boat and missed sign ups for this year as a sophomore and want to do it next year as a Junior, does anyone know?

Juniors will have a tougher time. A lot of places don't look for juniors because they just have less time left. Not saying impossible, but be prepared.

Which round should I expect I’ll be cut from? I just don’t want to go through and fall in love with a sorority and be cut during sisterhood or at pref because I’m a junior and would rather be cut during values

As long as you complete Recruitment, meaning go to preference and don't just put one house on your list for bids, you will get a bid.

I wouldn’t be very nervous. I know that my chapter doesn’t write off girls because they are upperclassman. I rushed my junior year and def found my home. It’s all about finding your people :)

Seriously why are you asking these kind of questions on here? You have a rho gam who can answer these questions, unless this is just a bait question for people to talk crap.

this year they changed the rules so juniors and seniors who rush won't be counted in a chapters pledge class total. So basically, juniors and seniors will still add to the chapter so (hopefully) chapters will be more likely than previous years to take upperclassman since even though they graduate soon, they won't be counted in the pledge class numbers. I'm 99% sure this is correct but I would verify with your rho gam. Best of luck :)

Does that mean that the upperclassmen wouldn't be in the pledge class with freshman and sophomores?

No you would be in the same pledge class.
