greek drinking culture

So like i got a nice day to see if I’m gonna sign up for recruitment , but i guess I’m just concerned Bc i don’t really fit in w the whole glamorized drinking culture of college and prevalence of it in college in general as well as Greek life. On sorority instagrams i really just see a lot of tailgating and parties and going to 21+ places but are underaged and stuff. So i wanted to know if it was actually worth it to rush despite this ?

Sorororities are about more than just partying and drinking despite what you see on IG. Certain IGs are all about perception and trying to make everyone seem perfect and always having fun. You may just be looking at the wrong sorororities. In my Sorority we work really hard and do numerous activities that are philanthropy based. We also do fun sisterhood events that have nothing to do with alcohol.

Not sure whose IG you are looking at because most if not all show no drinking on their IG. Personal IGs are a different story.
