I was gonna make an obligatory "are you people retarded" comment, but honestly,
a) guys send emails or talk like this in chapter ALL THE TIME. so it's hilarious to see women reinforce notions that you're weak and too fragile to talk assertively.
b) good for this chick for calling out her chapter's bullcrap. Awkward girls ruin parties.
c) this email gave me a hard on

If the first thing you did was get on another website to bash the entire sorority that this one horrible person is a member of you really are no better than she is. This is worst example imaginable, but everyone knows a girls in their chapter they would not want to be judged off of. If anything, we should go support the poor girls this chick went ballistic on because I doubt it's the first time......

Seriously? Using slurs (homophobic and otherwise) to intimidate one's sisters into working harder to impress drunken frat boys?! So. Completely. Pathetic.
Rebecca reminds me of an alum from my sorority that insisted on moving back into the house-literally EVERY year-to "help" us during recruitment. This miserable troll would verbally harass and bully us to the point of tears on a daily basis. Looking back, the absurdity of her behavior was pretty amusing, but to be subjected to it was beyond upsetting. I've moved on to professional school, while the troll (as far as I know) is continuing to "help" our sorority.
I feel for the girls of this chapter, and even more so, I'm concerned for Rebecca. I sincerely hope this serves as a wake up call to change-the approval of Sigma Nu isn't worth the public humiliation. Keep in mind that the frat boys calling this "hilarious," are laughing at you and not with you.
