confused!
by: HalleTHi! I am going to be attending UMD this fall and am an international student. Was wondering if anyone could help me with a few questions! Firstly, is it more expensive to live on campus or in the sorority housing? Also how difficult is it to rush a sorority and on what basis do you get selected? Thanks!

Hi! I hope you're excited to be a Terp! It's about the same cost to live in the house versus living on campus but there are so many great aspects to living in the house. It's not difficult to rush a sorority - most freshman will rush in the spring and it's a great opportunity to see all the different chapters and find the one that fits the best! Informal rush occurs in the fall and is more laid back and you typically see sophomores and some juniors rushing.
