rushing spring 2018
by: stressedI’m rushing a sorority this spring and I’m nervous that I won’t get top tier. I feel like the four top houses are really picky and that if you don’t get one your social life kind of sucks . What are the top houses looking for?

You are kidding right? All of the Sororities have full social calendars. Also you don't have to have an event planned to actually go out with your friends. You are completely feeding into the issue with Greek Rank.
Are you solely joining a Sorority for partying purposes? If so I suggest you just go to the bar or to frat parties. There is a ton more involved in being in a sorority then partying.

Your odds of being in a top sorority a so low. They can sniff out social climbers from a mile away. Everyone in a top sorority was confident they’d be in one before rush. If you’re not confident you’ll be in one, it’s bc you know you’re not going to be. If the rest of the sororitys aren’t good enough than BYE

^ that but even if you don't know anyone it doesn't matter, if you fit in you fit in. Forcing it won't get you anywhere, and you'll just end up somewhere you don't belong, and for what, a label or "tier"?

A lot of the people in certain sororities know many of the incoming freshman/sophomores that are rushing either from activities on campus or high school. It's a lot of who you know, not necessarily who is the best looking.
