The Montana State University fraternity suspended last week after two reports this semester of a student being hospitalized for alcohol poisoning received a cease and desist order from the fraternity’s national office.

The letter, dated Nov. 15, orders the MSU chapter of Sigma Alpha Epsilon to stop all operations and fraternity-related activities, including social functions, philanthropic events and anything to do with recruitment.

The University of West Florida is cracking down on hazing. The Tau-Psi chapter of the Tau Kappa Epsilon fraternity has been suspended for a minimum of 5 years. UWF's Nu Eta chapter of Zeta Phi Beta Sorority has also been temporarily suspended.

Don't see a need for fraternities....they are simple rowdy groups of drinking clubs. At least sororities have philanthropic endeavors once a semester.....and encourage high GPA's, well except for TryDelt.
