Not at all.. A lot of women join their sophomore year and I highly recommend doing it!!

Since formal recruitment isn't til Spring, a first or second semester soph will have the grades and acclaimation to the university, making them a stronger candidate as a recruit. Your more adapted to the rigors of college life and mature to allocate time and energy or prioritize your schedule. Yes, do it! Absolutely!
