legacy?

i am an incoming freshman girl and am a legacy at one of UMDs sororities. question: if i put down that i am a legacy, will the other sororities assume i want to end up in my mother's sorority? I want to make my own opinions during rush - and just don't want to be pigeon-holed by sharing the legacy status. thoughts?

Put your moms sorority down, no one is going to cut you bc you're a legacy somewhere else. At a lot of sororitys being a legacy doesn't even get you a bid and everyone knows that.
