I'm thinking about transferring to UMD and would love to be apart of greek life. I don't drink, would that be an issue?

I know some people who don't drink and have a fine time because they actually know how to have fun sober. They just vibe off of other people. As long as you can do that you'll be fine. You're also not forced to go to parties if you don't want to

Substance-Free Housing

Foundation President Hammond provided a report from the North American Interfraternity Council’s (NIC) Alcohol Commission. The Board discussed the report and how substance-free policy would best be implemented and enforced. Warren confirmed that discussions will continue and a suggested plan of action for fraternity-wide substance-free facilities adoption and budget implications will be presented at the fall meeting.
