other frats and sororitys
by: transferSo, I'm transferring as a junior, and unfortunately UMD doesn't have my sorority. However, I still want that strong bond in a free organization. I know there are "non-social" fraternities - typically co-ed. I'm majoring in public health (possibly a business minor) and on a pre-law track. Anything would help I just figured this is the best place. I guess my thing is I don't want to rush a co-ed frat and find out it isn't fun or the people aren't close. Like at my old school we had two business frats one that was crazy fun and close and one that wasn't really close and unknown. Any insight would be amazing! Thanks!

If you're a business minor or trying to do something pre-health related, AKPsi and DEM alway seemed super close to me from the outside and I think they throw their own small parties as well. Both are Co-ed.
You might also want to try APO. They're a co-ed service fraternity with a decent amount of people who are also in Greek Life. They also have formal, parties, and dateds.
I would go to whatever rush events they have and feel thier vibes.

i'm really just trying to get a feel for the non social frats like the business ore law and service frats that kind of stuff - like which ones have better brotherhood or like if any are more fun than others
