is fall rush really low key? (sororities)

I heard from a girl that you need to know someone in your sorority that you want to join and that they don't really "recruit" girls?

It depends. If they only have one spot they may not announce anything but technically I think they are supposed to let panhel know so it is posted. The sororities that have more spots available will advertise on their social media and via panhallenic.
