dropping a bid

so all throughout rush i considered dropping as i was really overwhelmed and felt like i should wait until i was a sophomore bc of my super low gpa and tough spring schedule- i got cut from all but 2 the first round bc of it but i stuck through it and got a bid to a sorority i liked, but didn't love. i don't even know if i can afford the dues. so i'm stuck. if i drop the bid now, how bad will it look? will i be unable to get a bid to another sorority next formal requirement.

Won't look bad- if you drop now you can rush again and the girls won't know you went through as a freshman unless you tell them or they recognize you

If you drop a bid, you can't rush again until one full year later. And yes, the sororities know if you're rushing again, but the specific girls you talk to might not unless they tell them.
