how common are snap bids?
by: WithdrawI went back to two sororities for sisterhood round, my favorite and least favorite. I only got asked back to my least favorite today, so I decided to withdraw. The girls seemed nice, but the conversations felt forced and looking around, I didn't feel like I belong, both among the members and the PNMs, so I decided to withdraw. Personally for me, money is an important factor and I couldn't afford to pay for a sorority I didn't love. How often are snap bids? I know they are rarely given out, but since I made it to the sisterhood round yesterday for my favorite, is there still a chance? Thanks!!!!!! :)

I went threw preference round and after every round of recruitment, I consistently didn't feel a connection to the girls in the house, and as I said money is a very big factor for me, my parents aren't helping at all, so I had to be sure. I was told that you could still get a snap bid from one that dropped you? And I guess you're right, I'm not sure if I'd even want to accept a snap bid if I wasn't good enough for them in the first place, but I wanted to know the odds of it.

IF, and that is a BIG IF, you do end up getting a snap bid from the Sorority that invited you back, my suggestion is to go and hang out and talk to those girls. You may be surprised. You don't need to start paying the first day.
The only other options are to go through informal in the fall or go through Spring Recruitment again. You could go through formal all over again and end up in the same situation.

This is really annoying. You really should have given the Sorority that was extending you an invite a chance. You never know, you may have really made a great connection at preference or bid day.
So......You won't be getting a snap bid from a sorority that cut you and honestly if it were me, I wouldn't want to be in a sorority that didn't want to invite me back.
