If you are concerned about what others think and base your friendships on the opinions of others, then yes, rankings matter. This is supposed to be a Greek Community and unfortunately there are people that are in the business of bashing and belittling others no matter where you are on the scale. You take your pick as to who you want to listen to...The people I just mentioned or yourself. The decision seems pretty clear to me.
