sororities seem expensive!

really would like to rush and join a sorority but many seem to be super expensive! how do you all pay your dues when theyre like $1000 or close to it? living off campus at umd (landmark, trow) is already so expensive so how do you guys finance it?

Almost everyone in my Sorority has a job to cover the costs....
