sophomore rush

by:

I dropped last year because I ended up with a house I knew I wouldn't feel comfortable in. I raised my gpa a lot and I'm a lot more involved. Do I have a good shot at getting a bid? I really want to join a sorority but I don't want to be disappointed like last year

Most of the GPAs requirements are the same so I'm not quite sure how increasing your GPA other then to above a 2.8 will make a huge difference in where you end up. Joining other activities might give you more to talk about, but honestly there is a reason you got a bid where you did.

You got a bid. I'm curious to know if you went on bid day and spent more time with the Sorority that gave you a bid.

You should be considering houses that are opening their doors to you. If it were me I wouldn't want to be in a house that cut me.

honestly you never know if you'll be disappointed. if you get that house its because you probably fit in there, plus why would you want to join some where you weren't wanted?

I agree with the last poster. You shouldn't have to change yourself to fit in. You want to be somewhere where you are accepted, at least I do. Going through again you might get the exact same Chapter. Maybe you need to be a little more open minded about where you end up.

Hopefully the house you didn't even pref will consider you. Then you might be in the position of no houses asking you back...
