sorority rush
by: pnmWhat percentage of girls that rush don't get a bid? Is it common?

Theres a few different answers depending on what exactly you are looking for.
There are girls who rush, and remove themselves from the process after not getting the houses they wanted back while still having other chapters inviting them to rounds.
There are also girls who go to pref, rank only one chapter (AKA suiciding) and then end up with no bid. If you maximize your options by ranking all chapters you went to pref parties for, you have the opportunity to be added to one of those chapter's bid lists.
Then there are girls who go all the way through to pref, get a bid from a chapter they didnt want, then reject it and just tell everyone they didnt get a bid....
And last, and very rarely, there is a girl who gets cut from each and every sorority (usually before pref round) because of either her grades, a reputation, or she was downright rude/socially inept.

Last comment was completely accurate. Very rarely does anyone not get a bid.
If you are open to the idea of joining any chapter because you want to be in a sorority rather than specific ones, then you shouldnt have any issues getting a bid. It's the people that go in open minded that end up being happiest with the process and getting a bid.
