why don't we have the big name sororities?
by: Class of 2021Why doesn't this school have the big national names like Chi Omega, Kappa Kappa Gamma and Pi Beta Phi (to name a few). It's a big state school and I was just wondering because I am going to be a freshman next fall and am a little disappointed by the lack of these strong sororities on campus.

Chi Omega. They were on in the 20s and were honored during the 10p years of Greek life celebration. Pi Phi and KKG are meh when it comes to behavior; there's always some scandal or another and they're not always the most sister or community oriented. In addition, no sorority was impressed with KKG when they came to present during expansion. With the possible exception of Chi O, the "big sororities"--though we've also got APhi, Theta, ADPi, Zeta, Tri Delt, and KD--being present on this campus I personally do not think would add much to our Greek life.

I know they are all national but SDT, AEphi, DPhiE, Phi Sig?? Those aren't at too many schools. They aren't known as being very popular. I'm just saying.
