It's probably because at maryland it doesn't matter who is in the fraternity, all that matters is the name of it.

this name stuff and reputation has always confused me. Example: People in Fiji play club sports. There are D1 players in other frats but somehow Fiji are the athletes? Explain

same, i dont get it LOL they're not attractive at all. i had a friend visit from IU and we went to one of their parties and she whispered over to me, "what frat it this? im guessing is one of the lower ones?" LOL NOPE they're literally thought of as second best somehow and she was shocked. true story
