it has nothing to do with whether a guy or girl said it. "HELLO," the tendency to remove guilt to ones friends and family is a natural defensive mechanism to protect ones reality.

I agree wholeheartedly 100% with "consequences' ;" post. Could not have said it better myself.

It' called consequences. Someone let this girl in the sorority. Someone allowed this girl to treat her sisters this way. Someone gave this girl the entitlement to behave this way. Who is that someone? Her very own sisters of Delta Gamma, that's who. They allowed this to happen, to get to this point. THEY ARE RESPONSIBLE. Now, comes the consequences.

I am a Delta Gamma at KU and my sister, also a DG, told me to read this article that talked about this chapter. Yes, what that girl said was awful and she was not acting like a sister, nor was she representing her letters. It makes me so upset that people are putting down this house just because of one girl. Even though I do not know anyone in this chapter, they are my sisters and I know that they are wonderful women that respresent Delta Gamma. ITB.

i liked them all a lot before this letter incident... i really feel bad that one girl ruined it for everyone. hopefully them still get girls to rush next year but if i were a freshie i'd avoid them life the plague. its a shame.

I wouldn't be surprised if this chapter loses there charter. The chapter disgraced the name of Delta Gamma. There reputation at UMD is done.

They seem well meaning, and they have some cute girls. But they have clearly developed a culture that is not at all about sisterhood: a) by having a chapter leader verbally abusing sisters for wanting to hang out with other sisters and b) for having an sister or sisters take an internal chapter matter and post it to the internet. Both were wrong. This is shameful and reflects poorly on their chapter and has tarnished the national reputation of DG.

Have letters gone to the parents of these DG members? I would want to know what crass group of people my daughter is associating with. They may be able to deactivate. I certainly wouldn't continue funding the sorority house! DISGUSTING!

All I can say is THANK GOD I'm not a Delta Gamma. Who ever becomes One after that letter is an idiot. Kiss your chapter goodbye!
