inclusive sororities?
by: future rusherhii im going to carleton next year and thinking about rushing some sororities. are they all very similar or are there inclusive ones? also how many active ones are there? <3

Hi! There's three panhellenic sororities at Carleton and I think around 6 local sororities that usually recruit people from CU, UO, AC and La Cité. Some orgs definitely have a rep for being more inclusive than others although I truly encourage you to meet with multiple orgs so you can better understand their ~vibes if that makes sense. At Carleton I would say DPSID, DPHIE, and AOII have a more "inclusive rep" although it's difficult to say which orgs are inclusive as that's really subjective.
TLDR: I would met some sisters from the orgs you're interested in and go from there. An org can appear inclusive however they may have their own internal issues. I wish you the best in rushing though and I hope you find what you're looking for in a sorority!!

omg thank you for the detailed response :)) whats the difference between a panhellenic and local sorority? also, is it difficult to be accepted into a sorority if you don't know anyone? I don't know anyone in greek life at carleton but im thinking about rushing with my friend. thanks again and sorry I took so long to respond lol
