worried about fitting in at a frat
by: PNMI'm planning on rushing next year as a sophomore, but I have some worries about fitting in, because honestly I've never been to a party in my life. I wasn't exactly popular in high school, and none of the friends I made last year partied, so yeah. I'm avoiding the top tier houses, but could I possibly fit in at a place like Lambda or Beta?

But OP do you actually want to party? If you are not the stereotypical jock/gym going/fratstar I would look at beta+lamba but look more heavily at pikapp, sigpi etc. If you are trying to start partying I would recommend SigPi. They have a lot of non stereotypical guys (including some guys that didn't party in hs: random indian kids, foreign exchange guys, slightly nerdy guys) but they generally adapt to having parties, though maybe not with the hottest girls on campus. If you aren't looking to party then maybe a christian frat?

I definitely want to party, although I probably won't be drinking a ton. I want to drink some alcohol, but I'll mostly avoid getting drunk. SigPi was a house I was planning on rushing (I was thinking of rushing Lambda, Beta, SigNu, Pikapp, SigPi, and DTD) but I've definitely just considered it as a backup. What sororities do they generally have events with? Regardless, I'm sure they'd still be cool though. I'd still get to go to parties, and have brotherhood, and I mean, even if the don't get the hottest girls, I'd imagine they at least get some attractive girls at their parties, right? Still, I'm more hoping for upper mid if I can fit in.

OP again. That makes sense, though for the record, I'm really looking for relationships, not hookups. I don't know how much that changes things as far as girls go.

Are you sure? All I hear about when I'm at beta is how cool they were in high school and how much "crazy" stuff they did
