continuous open bids?

i know piphi have 24 drops this year.... but why? i thought they were a good house? and is that why they had to cob girls this week?

pi phi just got a little bit screwed in terms of the girls they gave bids to, including a lot of girls studying abroad for a year that had no intention of actually pledging and who just wanted to experience it. pi phi usually takes a few COBs every year, like a lot of houses do, but they just took a few more this year because of an unusually high number of girls that dropped.

a lot of sororities have to do COBs every little bit.... Chi O did it last year/ had an informal rush so i don't think it really means anything and being a "good" sorority is really relative.

Wait I thought only ddd, agd, and axo did winter rush. Did PiPhi do an invitation only winter rush...?

COB is invitation only. Basically you have to be recommended by someone in the house.

COB is invitation only, so you have to be recommended by someone in the house. But there is informal recruitment in the spring. AXO, AGD, and Tri Delta are recruiting, and I think you can sign up on the Panhellenic website.

It's completely normal for houses to do COB! It's usually invitation only, and you usually get recommended by a girl in the house. Pretty sure Pi Phi is happy with their winter PC so they won't be taking anymore until fall. I think another house is doing COB in the spring but not totally sure.

COB is different than formal/informal rush because it's invite only and not accessible to everyone.

They took more because they had a lot of seniors graduating early. They actually only had a few girls drop...I don't know where you got that number from but it's far from accurate.
