Pi Beta Phi Religious?
by: PNM2024I heard Pi Beta Phi is religious and prays at meals and possibly at other times. Can someone confirm if this is true? I got them back after the first day but I don't want to be in a religious sorority. Are they also right wing politically?

in case this is in anyway serious, none of the panhellenic sororities are explicitly "religious" lmao. there are members in every sorority who are religious, and members who are right wing, just as there will be members who are not religious and are not right wing.
if this was a thing, there would def be dei/edi repercussions at the very least with panhel, if not with the sororities' nationals.

All of the panhellenic sororities were founded by WASPs and their rituals are all rooted in christianity, however most of it has been taken out over the years, especially recently with the rise of DEI. In 2024, women of any religion will feel comfortable in any panhellenic chapter, especially at UCLA, save maybe for a few outdated “traditions” (we’re talking worst case scenario, mention of God)
