Sorority Suicide Bidding
by: SororityQuestionI ended up with one sorority I loved and one I do not connect with and would not join. Any feedback on suicide bidding? A lot of girls are doing it for tomorrow and it seems like it is ok but I wanted to see if there was any feedback.

Suicide bidding REALLY messes up the lists. You are much more likely to not get a bid at all when you do that unfortunately. My recommendation is that you rank your two houses, and you’ll see where you end up. If you get the house you don’t want (i assume you got a “top” sorority and a “bottom” sorority) then you can stick around all the way up until initiation without consequence and can rush again next year. it’ll all work out how it should, and you shouldn’t really be wanting a house that didn’t want you anyway.

This is UCLA - there are amazing women that were admitted into the #1 public and most applied to university in every chapter. Please tell me you are joking about saying there is only 1 house you connect with? Why waste time obsessing over 1 house? Stretch your comfort zone and live your life to the fullest by recognizing Greek life for the fun and inclusive experience that it offers. Recruitment is stressful for PNM but it’s stressful for the sororities too! Don’t make it more so by turning down a chapter that really wants you! Best of luck to you and to all new PNM.

I am suicide bidding tonight so we will see! A bunch of people in my world are doing it b/c we all got a mid or upper mid plus a bottom one. None of us connected with the bottom ones we were given. They were nice but there are certain personalities that are pulled to the bottom tier and ones towards the top. Neither type of girl wants to be in the other tier.
