2023 UCLA Sorority Rush
by: RushGirl2009So many of us just got cut from the top 5 houses at UCLA after the first round--like a ton of us. The ones we have left most of us do not connect well with. I think UCLA needs more sororities. They only have 350-380 spots and over 980 PNMs this year. It is such a bummer b/c so many people are dropping now and really want to find a sisterhood with a group of women they have things in common with. It is also frustrating to have amazing conversations and get cut. I just don't get it. I wish the houses could take more people.

From someone not in a sorority b/c I play a sport, this sounds just awful! You all allow these sororities to make you feel terrible. My friend is going thru this right now and we are reading all of this. Get away from the toxic environment! Trust me, you can meet a TON of amazing people at UCLA who are not in Greek life. It is a very small percentage of girls who are in the sororities anyway compared to the total undergraduate population. I know some of the sorority girls, who I love, but even they say the environment is not great in some of the houses and there is a good share of girls who drop our junior and senior year. If you get involved in other ways, you will find great people!

Yup. It happens all the time. They want girls who are tiny so the guys desire them. You would hate to see what is said in the houses. The whole thing is so superficial.

yea the cuts from “top houses” will be brutal going into tomorrow ( they always are this round). but what do you mean by “way too many pnms”? quota/total for each house takes into account how many pnms are left
