HUGE Protest on Sorority Row
by: Shawnice
Hi! I'm Shawnice. Due to the trans-exclusionary behavior of the sororities on campus, the Transgender Committee for Change will be hosting a protest during the first week of this coming fall semester on sorority row.
As you all know, trans women are real women, and excluding trans women from sororities is unacceptable in 2023. We want to see all of the sororities on campus accepting trans women, and for any who refuse trans-women to be banned.
In conjunction with the Trans Kids Club and some anti-fascist groups, we will be hosting a protest outside of the sorority houses. We'll also be serving plant-based hot dogs and cheese pizza for all attendees. See you there!

Just want to make sure you know the stance of Panhellenic on this:
Any female-identifying student is eligible to participate in Panhellenic formal recruitment and join a chapter if they are a regularly matriculated undergraduate student at UCLA. Any enrolled undergraduate student who has been granted full-time status may participate in formal recruitment, though each chapter has its own requirements for membership.
What this means: Any female identifying person is welcome at rush.
Don’t protest, come join us!

Shanice, how about gather your group and do something supportive? Make sandwiches and feed the homeless, pick up litter in a park, paint the walls in an elementary school that needs sprucing up, mow the lawns on senior citizens, etc., or start your own sorority that welcomes whomever you wish. Turn your anger into something positive.
