Why did alpha phi drop everyone?
by: whyIs there a reason that only 2 girls in my group got a call back to aphi yesterday even though I think we all had it in our top 8? Its really frustrating because I thought the convos were great and the girls vibed with me. It makes them look really fake dropping so many people after the first round. I know they are a "top house" but the other "top houses" didn't drop as many people

They only look at shallow talks and girls they deem pretty. It's almost random though because a girl I know got asked back and she is kinda plain, and not the most extroverted. So nothing make sense. APHI Is not that great as they keep posting. Have you all seen some of their girls on TikTok? Not the most articulate or attractive but maybe they're ucla cheerleaders or have tons of money

Panhellenic decides how many girls a sorority had to drop each day. And those numbers are based on their typical returns. If house A has 95% of the girls listing them in their top 8 year after year, house A has to make the deepest cuts. They may have to cut 60% of PNMs on day 1. House Z may only have to cite 10%. The idea is to
give girls an opportunity to focus their energy on other houses early in the process instead of being dropped in the final round. First round cuts for the most selected (“top”) houses are usually based on grades and a deep dive of social media profiles.

Alpha Phi can ask back fewer people because the most PNMs want them, so they can make the most cuts initially and still have a full amount of PNMs back. It's just how the numbers work. Also, to the commenter above, you're deeming a house shallow and then calling your friend who got called back "plain"? Seems like your own insecurities coming out -- don't try and tear down houses because you aren't getting called back to them.
