Recruitment for sorority- are they crazy like Alabama

How is the recruitment process for sorority at ucla? Do you need alumna and collegiate recommendations like they do at the overly intense, weird SEC sororities like at Alabama? Would it help or hurt?

Does it help if you are a legacy or related to someone who was in a sorority?

most of the houses dropped their legacy policies in 2020 so it really doesn’t help

Ucla is nothing like bama. Pretty sure most of the houses don’t even rake rec letters. As long as ur not obsessed with being in a top like aphi you should be fine and get a bid. People are genuinely nice and chill.

It is only hard b/c there are 370ish spots with close to 1K girls rushing. 600+ girls do not get a bid mostly b/c they drop out. A lot of girls drop out due to being cut from the top 5 houses and they don't want the bottom ones. If you are willing to stick it out to the end, you should be able to get a bid from the bottom houses if you are ok with it.
