Idk what to do please help

Hey guys so I'm currently a high school senior and Greek life is really big in my family, I come from a southern state and both of my sister's, my mom and my grandma all pledged the same sorority. I'm seriously looking at UCLA which has upset my mom and grandma anyway bc I'll be the first oos student in my family and basically there was this whole thing a couple of years ago when my sister was applying for college and they basically bullied her out of her first choice and she ended up going to their Alma mater.
ANYWAY always knew I wanted to go Greek but after researching my legacy chapter at UCLA I don't feel like I'm gonna fit in really idk how to explain it it's just a vibe. I do want to rush but I don't know if my legacy sorority is for me and I don't wanna upset my family but there's another house I've seen that I've kinda fallen in love with already.... idk so should I go into rush with an open mind and just give every house a shot? And will me being a legacy impact if I get dropped from any houses (idk if it's the same here but at my in state school where greek is big houses might drop you if you're a legacy bc they assume you're just going to pledge your legacy house)
Sorry this is so long but it's literally keeping me up at night worrying about it šŸ˜‚ literally any sort of advice is welcome here bc obviously I can't talk to my family theyll probably just get mad

Hereā€™s some words of wisdom from a senior. Ucla is nothing like the south. The ā€œvibeā€ you think you get on social media is just one TINY facet of each house. Itā€™s whatever the individual thatā€™s in charge of social media that quarterā€™s idea of what SHE wants to project. Thereā€™s no way to ā€œfall in loveā€ with a house if you havenā€™t met the bulk of the ladies that are in it. Thatā€™s like saying youā€™re in love with a guy purely from seeing his Tinder profile.
Give every house a chance and then make up your mind. And no, being a legacy for a house will not be held against you. If itā€™s a super desirable house, it could actually work in your favor, to some extent
