middle tier houses????

You have to remember that Greekrank is a pit of negativity. Those houses, as ALL houses at UCLA have amazing, beautiful ladies in them. Go where you are comfortable and feel welcomed. After rush NONE of this will matter and you’ll be making friendships that will likely last a lifetime! Good luck!!

absolutely nothing bad about being in a middle tier house (or “bottom tier” for that matter!!). they still do just as many fun events and have just as good of a time. if you see yourself joining a sorority, you will absolutely have a better experience in those houses (assuming you continue to click with the girls) than you will if you don’t join a house.

not at ALL!!! honestly if you’re going to be paying ~$1000 a quarter for a sorority, you should be where you feel comfortable and happy. So much emphasis is falsely placed on being in a “top” house when being in greek like is actually just being part of a sisterhood you love, which is 100 percent independent of any BS or subjective rankings you might see on this site. These rankings are so misleading and almost entirely based on looks. There are beautiful girls inside and out, in every house. These rankings never take into consideration integrity, personality, intelligence, campus involvement and leadership, or true sisterhood. You will find these attributes of women in every house but especially the houses who bond and value over these important characteristics which truly make the house “top”. That has not been the vibe or reputation of many “top” houses who often struggle to keep members after the first year because their entire membership was selected from first appearance or social media perspectives and not built on really important connections and substance. Most important factor in your Greek success and happiness is selecting a house where you truly connect with current members and know you will always feel valued for all that you can earn and contribute.

Agree with every reply. Honestly the point of joining a sorority is to find girl friends and a sisterhood where you belong and have a home. If that is a “middle” house, that’s awesome!! There are incredible girls in every house, and if anything you avoid all of the drama and superficiality that can plague the “top tier” houses. Middle houses will still have active social calendars with decent and fun frats so you won’t miss out on too much at all, and regardless being in a house that fits your personality with kind, genuine girls who actually like each other. ChiO and KD are known for having amazing, strong sisterhoods so be happy and keep your head up! Ending up in either house would be awesome

Chi o and KD are not bottom houses and you can still have a lot of fun in them (they’re upper middle). G phi has definitely dipped in recent years and the scandal last year didn’t help, but there are still some really cool girls in there too regardless and you would be happy socially in any of the three if u vibe well with the girls

Just don’t go to g-phi and you should be good wherever you go
