sorority recruitment
by: PledgingHow should I prepare for sorority recruitment? What kind of girls do the sororities on campus look for? What kind of recs? What kind of interests? I read on the USC discussion page that at their school sororities can tell who they want to cut before rush even begins just by their registration form? Is that true here? What could get someone cut from a certain house? Any info is fine! Thanks! :)

recs are not a big deal at all at ucla. I don't think most girls have any recs really. sororities at ucla look for a balance of personality and looks. there's nothing really specific that will get you cut. as long as you're decent looking and can hold a conversation, you'll get a bid from at least a mid tier house. my biggest tip is to try to talk about something that'll make you stand out. we have the same conversation about where girls are from, majors etc. over and over again, so anything you can do to stand out (in a good way) will help you a lot. good luck with rush!
