There’s really no set cob list... if it’s a secret COB girls in the house usually have friends/girls they want to rush and tell them privately. Open COBs are typically for the bottom houses and you can just reach out to the chapter yourself. Upper/top houses all met quota so they will only do COB if enough girls drop. Idk about the lower mid or bottom houses though.

So, what you’re saying is that there really is no list of girls wanting COBs? I’m the one who had to reach out to them to tell them I’m wanting one?? Would i be better off just doing winter rush? Also, if i got really close to a chapter or a handful of girls in a chapter i could potentially be offered a snap bid? Do i have to ask for it? Do they have to recommend me to their chapter? Sorry all the questions I’m just very confused and any answers would be so appreciated!! Basically, what are some of the avenues i could take if i wanted a bid.

There is no formal rush besides fall rush, so no winter. The only way to join outside of fall rush is through COBing. If you get close with girls and they think you’re a good fit for their house theyll potentially invite you to COB which is basically an informal rushing process, not a guaranteed bid. Tbh to maximize your options i’d recommend just rushing next fall

UCLA doesn’t have winter rush. Your best bet is asking your friends in other houses to COB you

Just because some friend of a friend of a friend of a friend got a call from some house to cob, doesn't mean that all houses didn't make quota. Just goes to show how poorly informed people on this site are. A lot of other factors can force a house to do cob including their nationals requiring it for a multitude of reasons unrelated to how well they did during rush.

Correct, among other factors that have nothing to do with how well a house did during rush or before or after..like the total number of girls that went through rush was relatively low (compared to past years) and they might have have a lot of seniors who graduated. Why are you screaming? Sheesh, chill out
