phi rho at ucla
by: AnonymousHey everyone. I'm thinking of rushing Phi Rho this quarter, but all the sorority rankings I've seen so far have them at the bottom. For me personally, I don't really care that much if my house has a full social calendar or whatever, and I like the idea of being in a sorority type organization that still focuses on academics. However, after reading these rankings, I'm worried that I'll be looked down upon if I do rush for them, especially by frats. I was looking for general advice on what I should do. Thanks!

I feel like most people see it as an independent sorority even though they’re panhellenic. They’re sisterhood is probably very real and they’re focused on academics. Now, if you care about popularity and being at a top house then go through formal recruitment for traditional sororities, nothing wrong with it, you’ll probably meet more people tbh. Unlike what it seems here, no one at UCLA really cares if you’re in a top tier or bottom house.
