rushing a sorority as a nonwhite sophomore?

by: bruinbred

Is it even worth it? I don't really even know anyone in greek life just wanted to give it a shot. I know girls like me but who have tons of friends in ""top"" houses, they have a better shot than me right? i couldnt rush because of $$ last year but i feel like i would have had a better chance as a woc then lol

People will say rush try it but honestly if you're a sophomore and you don't have relationships with girls in the houses already it will be hard as most sophomores do!

Especially if you're a woc. Probably not going t be worth it for you unless you're open to a house like AGD

Depends on how much "say" your friends have in the house and how close of a friendship you have

Usually being a sophomore isn't bad. But that's cause most of the sophomores who rush have friends in houses and their friends encourage them to rush. As someone with no sorority connections two years into college just know AGD might be the only house open for you.

Usually its easier for sophomores/juniors who have friends in the houses already. if not its usually harder, but if you know people in sororitys who you feel like will vouch for you during rush then go for it.
